MULTI-SCREEN SETUPS | TV INSTALLATIONS | DROP DOWN SCREENS
Since the growth of the internet and social media over the decades, a lot more churches are now looking to use videos, visuals and other online content during their services. Some systems are still installed in churches using 4:3 screens and VGA connections where most media is now only supported by HDMI and 16:9 formats. Watts Technology have a number of solutions for both new and current installations to bring your system up to the latest high definition standard.

With most older churches, it is a requirement that the church must retain its original aesthetics whilst not in use meaning that bulky items such as screens are required to be retractable and hidden when not in use. We look at multiple options on how to best do this and assist with faculty applications to seek approval for works to be carried out.

Where there is a larger area to cover, some churches will require more than one screen. With HDMI over Ethernet distribution systems, this is much easier to achieve compared to the older VGA equivalent which required thicker cabling. An example shown above is one church in Surrey which has 7 screens fitted in total with the ability to plug in an additional two screens if required. The main screen at the front is 86" which is the equivalent to the previously projected imaged before upgrade. The use of a TV screen gives a much brighter and detailed image compared to that of a projected image which can be affected by ambient light. Additionally there is a 50" screen at the side for the vicar, two additional screens for the congregation further back, one for the organist, one for the band and a screen located in the cafe area.
