The requirement of an internet connection in a church is now becoming more and more important with the evolution of technology. Not only is this beneficial for the church itself should the office be based within the church, it also provides a useful tool for churches to use media such as YouTube during their services as well as having the ability to live stream their services to a wider audience. Additionally other systems within the church such as an alarm or CCTV system may utilize an internet connection to send push notifications to mobile devices.
It is commonly believed that you require a landline in order to bring an internet connection into your church. However this is not the case. A number of churches do not have access to the telephone network either due to location or restrictions on flying cables to a listed building. There is a solution to this which is bringing in an internet connection via a 4G/5G router. The internet is supplied to the church via a 4G/5G router containing a sim card and connects to the mobile networks much like a mobile phone to bring in the internet via WiFi. The average cost of this is £32 per month on a 12/24 month contract. We have a strong relationship with a local telecoms company based in Burgess Hill who can provide you with a SIM or FTTP contract depending on situation.
We visit your church to carry out a signal survey to determine whether you would benefit from an external antenna or not. We then draw up our conclusions and offer you an estimate on bringing in a connection to your church whilst communicating with the telecoms company who will arrange your broadband contract ready for installation day.
Currently BT are working to decommission the old copper telephone network upgrading people to FTTP (Fibre to the Premises). This is where a new fibre cable is run directly to your premises offering a much more reliable and faster connection.
